Meet the Hosts

 

Dr Michelle Woolhouse

MBBS, FRACGP, ACNEM, FASLM, Grad Dip. Mind-Body Med

Dr Michelle Woolhouse is a doctor, mind-body medicine expert, keynote speaker, Founding Medical Director of health tech start-up Vively, Podcast host and Author of The Wonder Within.

She is an expert in mind-body medicine and how by embracing the whole you can change your life, health and relationships. She educates widely in the areas of whole person health including mental health issues, such as anxiety, stress and burn-out, psycho-neuro-immunology and women’s hormones.

Dr Michelle has advanced post-graduate training in mind-body medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, nutritional and environmental medicine and holds fellowships with the Royal Australian College of GP’s (FRACGP), the Australasian society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM) and Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (FACNEM).

She is in high demand and consults widely due to her unique way of bringing the science and the human together.

Dr Michelle is the medical director of Vively: an innovative app, that helps you optimise metabolic health through the use of CGM and other wearable data collectors. She is also the author of The Wonder Within: a heart-led playbook for the anxious stressed and burnt-out. and the co-founder of Enliven retreats which runs workshops to help deliver a deeper style of medicine for women in the areas of mental and emotional optimisation. 


Dr Adrian Lopresti

Dr Adrian Lopresti is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice, managing director at Clinical Research Australia, and an adjunct senior lecturer at Murdoch University, Western Australia. He has over 20 years of clinical experience working with children and adults experiencing a range of mental health conditions. 

Dr Lopresti has experience in using several psychological therapies and has received extensive training in nutritional and lifestyle treatments for mental health disorders. Dr Lopresti regularly publishes in peer reviewed, high-impact journals and has completed several clinical trials investigating the effects of herbal ingredients such as curcumin, saffron, ashwagandha, bacopa monnieri, echinacea, and holy basil on anxiety, depression, insomnia, cognitive decline, osteoarthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, and general wellbeing in children and adults. 

Dr Lopresti is also the founder of Personalised Integrative Therapy, a holistic treatment for depression and anxiety, and regularly conducts workshops both nationally and internationally.


Emma Sutherland

Emma Sutherland is a successful mum, author and clinical naturopath. Her mission in life is to inspire women to get their Mojo back and to help families raise vibrantly healthy children.
 
Emma is a fully qualified Naturopath, having completed four years of training in Herbal Medicine, Nutrition and Homoeopathy as well as a Bachelor of Health Science. She has over 17 years of experience in treating women and children at every life stage. Her busy clinic provides her with many clinical insights as well as keeping her finger on the pulse of patient led trends. Her friendly personality results in a unique ability for people to feel comfortable and listened to. 
 
Emma’s daughter, Sophia, is her greatest teacher and constantly pushes her to do better and be better. Emma is passionate about always learning and discovering new concepts and strategies that she can apply to her clinical practice. And let’s not forget her number one value in life is fun!


Lisa Costa-Bir

Lisa is a practicing naturopath based in Sydney, Australia. She specialises in women’s health and auto-immunity in her clinical work, as well as working as an academic lecturer and clinical supervisor at Torrens University and Endeavour College of Natural Therapies in Sydney. She is also an Adjunct Fellow of the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine (SCU). She has a Masters of Women’s Health (UNSW), as well as Graduate Diploma of Applied Science in Naturopathy (UWS), and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Naturopathy (UWS).

Lisa has written numerous naturopathic articles and was a contributing author for the widely used naturopathic textbooks “Clinical Naturopathic Medicine” and “Advanced Clinical Naturopathic Medicine”. Her greatest passion is psycho-neuro-immunology and understanding how natural interventions can be used to modulate neuro-endocrine-immune responses for optimal patient heath. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys doing Muay Thai, spending time out in nature and making TikTok videos with her daughter and her cat Milo.
