What is your role at FX Medicine? As part of an incredibly dynamic team, my responsibilities include interviewing medical, nutritional medicine and scientific experts for the FX Medicine Podcasts.
What is your background? I’m a Registered Nurse and am part-way (sigh) through my Naturopathy Degree (on sabbatical for…ahem…several years...)
What does being at FX Medicine mean to you? The world...literally! I get to access the minds of the best integrative medicine clinicians around the globe!
Favourite movie… So many faves - how am I supposed to choose just one? Star Wars (Ep IV), Enemy Mine, The Wall, Pitch Perfect, Bourne Identity, Iron Giant, Sorcerer’s Apprentice, A Bridge Too Far, The Wild Geese...
At the moment I am reading… Three things: 1. Mycelium Running by Paul Stamets; 2. Why is the penis shaped like that? (And other reflections on being human) by Jesse Bering; 3. How we conquered the Planet. Scientific American June 2015.
Favourite quote… "Elen síla lumenń omentíelvo" ("A star shines on the hour of our meeting" inscribed inside my wife’s and mine wedding bands).
When I was young I wanted to be a… Grown up…Now that I’m grown up I wish I was young again (of course there are those who would disagree that I ever grew up!)
A little known fact about me is… I’ve “sung” on stage with Crowded House.
My favourite way to relax is… Anything to do with our local beach. Walking with my wife, with our dog, and swimming…oh, and coffee!
